- Technical Director
Phil Kemp (B. Rur. Sc.) was raised on cattle and sheep properties at Stanthorpe and Blackall. He still operates a White Suffolk Stud which has experienced significant success at agricultural shows. He attained a Bachelor of Rural Science at UNE and conducted nutritional research on both ruminant and macropod species as an under graduate and the findings cited internationally. He has conducted several research projects since graduation. There has been work done on supplementation of stock, particularly protein supplementation. In recent years there has been significant research into the biochemistry of the rendering processes as well as BSE.
He became the foundation Managing Director of ADT when he realised potential of the ADT process to inactivate TSE, thereby developing new rendering technology with particular emphasis on BSE removal from meat and bone meals. He is currently the Technical Director of ADT.
He successfully operated rendering plants utilising this new technology at Morven where he processed kangaroo waste and at Warwick processing fish and prawn waste.
